(Mark Su for mayor Chicago- July 4, 2026) Mark Su joined thousands of Chicago residents at the annual July 4th Parade in Hyde Park, meeting and greeting families, neighbors, and community leaders while celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The Hyde Park July 4th Parade is the only Independence Day parade held within the City of Chicago. Although Mark Su is a North Side Chicagoan, his campaign attended the event to show support for the South Side communities that make Chicago stronger.

The parade began at 11:00 a.m. along East 53rd Street near the Obama Presidential Center site and proceeded west through Hyde Park, ending at a community celebration featuring live entertainment, food, and family activities.
“Chicago is one city, and every neighborhood matters,” Mark Su said. “I’m honored to celebrate Independence Day with families in Hyde Park and to support community events that bring Chicagoans together. As we commemorate America’s 250th year, we should renew our commitment to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Chicago for everyone.”
