(Mark Su for Mayor, July 12, 2026)On July 12, 2026, Mark Su attended the Chinese Community Picnic at Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chicago’s Chinatown. The event was hosted by the Great Chicago Chinese Association and brought together community members, local leaders, and law enforcement representatives.
Representatives from the Chicago Police Department’s 9th District and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office were invited to discuss ways to improve community safety. During the event, Mark Su had the opportunity to meet with several officials and exchange ideas on public safety issues affecting Chicago’s communities.
It was a valuable opportunity for Mark Su for Chicago Mayor to communicate directly with law enforcement, engage in meaningful dialogue, and strengthen cooperation between public officials and the community to promote a safer neighborhood for everyone.
